It all started with two new friends, a coffee shop, and an idea–

Seriously, that’s exactly how it started and the idea for Texting4Jobs was born.  Ron Cariker, owner of 7 Media Group specializes in mobile & text based platforms.  Jessica Miller-Merrell, owner of Xceptional HR is an leading expert in the Human Resources & Recruiting industry.  The two met via Twitter.  Twitter led to coffee, which led to the concept of Texting4Jobs bringing both their expertise together to form a revolutionary, targeted, and cost-effective way for businesses to reach active job seekers via text message.

The concept seemed simple and yet so innovative that no other U.S. based company is leveraging the mobile messaging the way we are. Ron and Jessica were sure that some other job board or newspaper must be doing this.  Their search continues.

Until then, Ron & Jessica are happy to grow Texting4Jobs.   iPhones have been a game changer and the Gen Y population prefers to communicate via text.  So why not take advantage of the 15 million active job seekers in the U.S. as well as the second largest generational group (Gen Y second only to Boomers) of 76 million strong.
